In today’s automotive field is achieved upon the progress of technology. When car manufacturer make a new technology, it used to combine with fuel efficiency technology and always consider about environment due to a lot of regulation from government. Especially, air pollution getting worse and oil production declining makes car manufacturer to seek new alternative energy. Therefore, automotive fuel area still remains potential blue chip for the future car market.

Recently, hydrogen, electric battery, and Bio-fuels have been become popular for future energy for the automotive field. First of all, hydrogen is an ideal fuel in many ways. It is generally compressed under high pressure as same as usage of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cars. However, hydrogen needs special chemical reaction for making power which is clean and powerful.

Secondly, the current industry’s golden child, the lithium-ion battery, is a remarkable piece of technology. Majority of car functions are working by electric energy now and battery capacity technology is also developing significantly. Many automotive manufacturers try to make the electricity car or the hybrid car by this technology. It makes our environment keep clean and reduce driver’s financial burden.

Lastly, we have some energy from nature for future which from virgin tree. The best part of this fuel technology is that the material from virgin plant can reuse again. Some automotive companies are working with this new fuel system now.

About my future job

People around the world desire to get a dream job since they are young and eager to seek their truly love job. Generally, people who do not like their job have lower productivity then others which also closely relate with quality of life.

Like Confucius said, people who enjoy their job never feel exhausted and higher chances to get excellent performance when they are working. However, I convinced that finding a dream job is not the matter of performing and well being. Most of time, people never realize there is a better opportunity for them. Due to they are afraid of trying to get a new job, even if they have great talent for the new job. Every people have different perspectives, so I would define a dream job is how they can easily find amusement from the work place. Sometimes it could be relationship with co-workers, higher salary, or good enough free time self development.

Frankly speaking, I never expected I did work in customer service field. Through my job experiences, I knew the better way to treat customers and how to wisely manage complains. Even if I change my dream job now, but the experience that I worked before made me more confident and helped to treat the job conscientious. I am pretty sure that previous experience has some of similar duties with automotive service technician work and could support my future career. I believe previous experience makes my present dream job more realistically.

I absolutely agree with the old saying, “There is no dream without passion.” I would say that all the successors they have extraordinary passion and concentration on their job. For example, Thomas Edison, since during his young ages, he was kind of person who have a lot of question and preoccupation on curiosities the passion makes led him to become one of the greatest scientist in the world.

In my personal opinion, dream job is not like finding a treasure and there is no confirmed dream job, but own experiences and positive job attitude make great future job.

Better driving life with Google autonomous car

Google now has been expended their business to autonomous car section and tested their prototype cars for public. The reactions from testers are very positive for performance of autonomous car. Even though there are so many constraints such as street regulations and responsibility issues, I would agree Google car will be most widely use car for the close future and gives effectiveness for drivers. Google car can provide free time for drivers no matter traffic condition is bad or not, offering benefits for senior and disable people, and safer than conventional car.

First of all, Autonomous car will save driver’s time while driving. Drivers can focus on other jobs which mean commute time will be no longer procrastination anymore. Some drivers would enjoy their meal and some can enjoy their entertainment without concerning about driving. It would give much more productively than when they drive conventional automobiles. It also helps time managing for drivers, the autonomous car figures out several traffic conditions of route and drives them to the fastest route by itself. Drivers can expect arrival time and can use driving time wisely. Latest Google’s prototype car can speed up to 40km/h, I assume that still not reach for future customer’s expectation but it is enough for busy city and town.

Secondly, Google car would offer great opportunity for drivers who cannot drive conventional car, especially disable people and senior. Usually they need help from other people when they need to go somewhere. After Google car release in public, they can drive wherever they want without help.

After autonomous car solves their issues and commercialize in public. Overall traffic will be clearer than before. Autonomous cars can recognize location each other cars and the cars try to lead small traffic route instead of heavy traffic jam area. Apparently Google car is safer than conventional cars. They do not try to over speed and drunk driving. Autonomous car check road condition and control every performance of the car. If some problem happen to the autonomous car and cannot solve problem by itself they would rather stop performance instead of let the car keep going. It prevents a lot of unconsciousness accidents which mostly happened in street.

I expect that Google’s autonomous car provides a lot of effectiveness for not far future drivers such as free time while driving, support someone who cannot drive conventional car and decrease accident significantly. I would want to see the Google car sooner with high technology on the road and wish to make better condition of traffic.

GM should deserve to blame about recall

GM’s ignition switches recall has been postponing for too many cars require to fix. Gm concealed the defect more than 10 years, despite of they already recognized the defect would be unsafe situation for drivers. GM’s relentless lie dropped their safe and trustworthy brand image.

In my point of view, GM lost their brand image as much as they sold defective cars. Customers never buy again inconvenience cars which they still wait for recall to fix. Even though GM is placed at Number 1 car seller in last 20years, GM’s recall rate is only participated in minor point which means they are 3rd reliable company. However, they missed a lot of brand loyalty customers from this dishonorable rumor. The research which comes from recalled car customers mentioned that they fear unsafe from the cars and would rather use rent cars. I would like to say GM needs to find solution as soon as possible they can.

GM has history about company crisis in 2007 when they misjudge in their management. This happening also seems like same poor decision as 2007 crisis. This happening makes more distrustful company, so they want to solve the problem as soon as possible and this situation makes hasty solution for recall. GM focus on solving problem and this may cause bigger danger for driver’s safety. They should not overlook driver’s safety and they should remind that all the main reason for recall is not profit of company and brand image.

I have noticed that GM has focused on their profit too much since they were at bankruptcy. The reason why GM is still at Number 1 car manufacturer is they provide reasonable safety cars for customers. After this issue, customers will consider about changing their car to other brand unless they offer more reasonable solution. I convince that recall is not only way to reach at customer’s satisfaction after they mad about their car. GM is now requiring more progressed customer service instead of following their profit.

Why we are waiting for autonomous cars

The autonomous system has become more accurately with the progress of technology. Google show off the Driverless car in 2010. It makes drivers use their time more usefully while commuting from one point to another point. However, major car brands disagree with the concept of the Google’s driverless car.

First of all, we need more regulations before using the Driverless car. If the self driving car has perfect program to prevent accidents and to control every performance of the car, there are a lot of variables in the reality world such as program misjudging, weather issues and accidents by human drivers. We do not need a driver test, if we have a the driverless cars which means the drivers are not able to drive in case of car fault situation. It causes traffic jam and less productivity from the cars. A little tiny errors from the Driverless car can make critical problems so the Driverless cars are needed more frequent inspections than normal cars. No one would buy a car if the car has uncertain safety issues. Therefore, we need to make sure the apparent responsibility regulation for the self driving cars. In my view, the car company should be charged the liability for the Driverless car. It because the company makes working properly then the machine should perform well without drivers responsibility except poor maintenance by car owners.

The road is not ready to activate for the driverless car. We may need new infra such as signal signs and driveway for the cars which cost a lot of money. The situation will make the traffic condition more confuse and negatively also can be financial burden for citizen, moreover normal drivers will be annoyed by unnecessary financial burden from new infra and confused by new traffic system. External environment also effect to the Driverless car. For example, the car will operate poorly in bad weather, it lead to serious accidents or operating errors. Wild animals may cause to distract the cars performing. For those reasons, many luxury brands car brands still insist to drive a car by human. I personally agree about the luxury car brand’s intension because of technology only can support the human performance, not making a decision by itself. The driverless car provides a lot of chance to convenient behind the wheel, however in case of emergency and outbreak situations human can judge more correctly and clearly.

I cannot remove a lot of my concerns about the Driverless car for safety reasons and commercialization reasons. Hopely in the future, even though Google is the latest starter in the automotive industry, however the company has potential develop possibility. The future Driverless car may be operate more correctly in danger situation and has more reasonable values than now. It has coming more realistic with Google’s accurate location system and powerful software. Sooner or later, I wish to see the cars on the road after level off the autonomous system with hugely development of automotive industry.

Car buyers crashing in on brand loyalty

Majority of car buyers regard car brand as “money in the bank”. When people consider about buying a car will choose reliable brand car. Everyone has different perspective when they buy a car. Therefore, they want to find out which car branch will be matched with them. In my point, brand loyalty will give me better chance of deal(price), no concerning(reliable) and familiar with car maintenance.

First of all, manufacturer will offer better deal to existing users. In my case, I used 3 different model cars in same brand manufacturer which is Hyundai. When I was twenty, I owned 98′ Grandeur xg in 2004 which I got from my father. Even though the car had almost 150,000km mileage and when my car mileage reached more than 200,000km, but still my car performed perfectly. I decided to change my car because of discount for existing users. If I turn in my oil car to dealership, I can discount certain amount of new car price. The deal from Hyundai gave me good impression and still now I would buy a Hyundai car if I am in Korea without doubt. Like this policy, manufacturer keep giving satisfaction, consumers would buy a car again and also good way to build company loyalty.

Loyalty customers who have good previous experience by brand manufacturer will buy a new car without concern. Like my case, I run my car almost 50,000km in 3 years. Even though the car used by my father for 7years, I just got general maintenance which gave me enough motivation to buy a same brand car. Because of my previous brand using experience, only considered about car performance and fuel consumption without a doubt that for quality of the cars. I owned brand new 07′ Tusan which I mostly used in Korea. The car did not make any major trouble and performed excellently.

Last but least, same brand cars have similar operation which means you can make better performance from the same brand. Later car has more complicate function in the car. The convenient functions might give great satisfaction to same brand loyalty owners. What if you buy a new car from another company, you will be annoyed by miscellaneous functions because of every brand has their own unique function or operation system.

Some brands ,however, give frustrated results to consumers. If we choose brand deliberately following by price, reliable and good maintenance, we can be a smart car buyer with proper brand loyalty.

 

Safe driving with out distraction.

 

 As a automotive technology has been developed, electronic devices in vehicle has became well organized. Many drivers can enjoy many entertainments and use highly developed function in a car. Due to the device system in a car, drivers ,sometimes, can not focus on driving. I personally agree with the decision that regulation from provincial government, police and insurance corporation in B.C of using electronic devices in a car because of that prevent innocent people get hurt ,financial damage and positive effect to decrease the accident level by distraction.

 

 Driver should keep focusing on the driving, using a phone or watching a potable monitor has to avoid while driving. We recently often heard news that people get accident by distract driving. It may lead to massive traffic accident and get huge financial burden for the result of accident ,therefore we need distracted driving prevention campaign. Here is a small experience from mine. One day I was in Korea. I was on my way to go home. When I just before approached a intersection, I tried to reach a water bottle on the passenger seat while I slow down my car. I could not see a car change lane to me. I hit the left back side of the car and I charged them all ,even though my slight unawareness. It was a just small happening ,but I can realized the dangerous of distraction while driving. Like my case, accident happen a split second anywhere. 

 

 During the campaign, It is a good motivation for some people who usually tend to respond phone or watch a monitor can be aware of hazard of distracted driving. Eventually people try not to use a electronic devices in a car and decrease the accident rate by distraction naturally. I would agree that is radical way to remove bad habbit in a vehicle. The campaign can show the negative effect about distracted driving ,additionally driver who see the campaign will drive safe in a way.

 

 In short, I convince that the campaign will give a lot of positive benefits for everyone’s safety. It effect to decrease accident rate and people do not get hurt by distracted driving by the campaign.
